The 2020 FCA ‘Financial Lives’ study found that 27.7m UK adults demonstrated characteristics of vulnerability, with half of these facing low financial resilience (over-indebtedness, low savings or low/erratic earnings).

And this was before the cost of living crisis.

So we at Jigsaw wanted to explore the impact of the current crisis on more vulnerable adults to understand:

• Where the pandemic had left the vulnerable
• What impact the cost-of-living situation was having on their lives
• What brands could be doing to help vulnerable people

This isn’t just relevant for public sector organisations, our insights will also help commercial brands understand more about their vulnerable customers, the cost-of-living challenges they face and the support they need.
